Tamaz Origin and Meaning
The name Tamaz is a boy's name meaning "brave and valiant horse".
Despite its similarity to Thomas, Tamaz actually originates from the Persian Tahmasp, a name given to two shahs of Safavid Persia. With a cool -z ending and the fun nickname Taz, we don't see a reason why Tamaz couldn't be used outside of Georgia.
