Amarianna Origin and Meaning

The name Amarianna is a girl's name meaning "eternal, goddess, loved, strength + grace".

A compound name that blends the up-and-coming Amari with the classic Anna, to create a smoosh that sounds at once traditional (like Marianne) and contemporary (like Aviana).

Amari is a relatively new creation, a gender neutral name that caught on in the late 90s and draws from Sanskrit, Hebrew, and African roots. Given to more than 3000 babies each year (a third of which are girls), it can mean "immortal", "loved", and "strength" depending on which root you follow.

Anna meanwhile is internationally popular and has been in the US Top 100 since the 60s. With its versatile meaning "grace", it can blend easily with any of the Amari meanings.

Separately popular, smooshing them together makes for a rare choice, with just under 30 babies being called Amariana each year.
