Girl's names - classic with a hip edge

We are due with baby #3 on June 4, and it's another girl! We already have a daughter Ivy, and a son Leo, so we are trying to think of something that goes with that! Classic but with a little bit of an edge to it :) We prefer short names and ones that would have no nickname. My middle name is May, so we would love to use that if the first name we pick goes along with it. If not, we have some backups! Here are our likes: Esther Faye Liv Ada Chloe Need some more suggestions! Esther is probably my favorite, husband likes Faye, but I can't really get into that name. Need some more ideas!
  1. Ada
    • Origin:

      German or Turkish
    • Meaning:

      "noble, nobility, or island"
    • Description:

Ada is one of the classic baby names for girls that is suddenly super stylish again. A favorite at the end of the nineteenth century, Ada is an alternative to the over-popular Ava. Ada is also part of the trend toward simple, old-fashioned names beginning with a vowel, like Ivy and Ella.
  2. Chloe
    • Origin:

      Greek
    • Meaning:

      "young green shoot"
    • Description:

Chloe is a pretty springtime name symbolizing new growth. Though slightly off its peak in the Top 10 in 2010, Chloe still ranks in the Top 20 and is solidly a modern classic.
  3. Esther
    • Origin:

      Persian
    • Meaning:

      "star"

  4. Faye
    • Origin:

      English

Soft and simple, but no less magical, Faye is enjoying a quiet spell of popularity in the US. It broke the Top 1000 in 2014, and by 2023, was one of the fastest rising names on the charts. Faye is a perfect example of a name that fits in and stands out, recognizable and yet unexpected. It also makes a beautiful middle name option, if Mae and Rae are feeling too overdone.
  5. Ivy
    • Origin:

      Botanical name
    • Description:

The quirky, offbeat and energetic botanical name Ivy is enjoying a deserved revival, propelled even higher by its choice by high-profile parents Beyonce and Jay-Z for daughter Blue Ivy. Ivy is also traditionally used at Christmas, make this one of the perfect names for December babies.
  6. Leo
    • Origin:

      Latin
    • Meaning:

      "lion"
    • Description:

Leo is a strong-yet-friendly name that was common among the Romans, used for thirteen popes, and is now at its highest point ever in the US thanks in part to Leonardo "Leo" DiCaprio.
  7. Liv
    • Origin:

      Norse

      "life"
