Dellora Origin and Meaning

The name Dellora is a girl's name meaning "sorrows".

A form of Dolores (or Delores) that was occasionally used in the early 20th century. Also spelled Delora, it could work as an alternative to Lenora, Laura, Della, Delila or Elora.

It was notably born by American heiress and philanthropist, Dellora A. Norris who supported schools, art centers, hospitals and research facilities in both Illinois and Florida. The Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park is partly named for her.
