Halimede Origin and Meaning
The name Halimede is a girl's name meaning "sea-goddess of good counsel".
Halimede was the sea-nymph daughter of Nereus and Doris in Greek mythology. One of Neptune's moons is named Halimede after the nymph, in accordance to the standard naming procedure of satellites orbiting Neptune.
