Eriskay Origin and Meaning
The name Eriskay is a girl's name meaning "Erik's isle".
The name of a Scottish island in the Outer Hebrides and derived from Old Norse, Eriskay could be an interesting way to honor an Erik or an Erika. The island is associated with an old Scottish song about unrequited love called the Eriskay Love Lilt, along with the Eriskay pony and the 1745 Jacobite rising in which Bonnie Prince Charlie temporarily went ashore on the island.
The similar Eriska is another Scottish name and place, and is a tidal island off of Loch Creran.
