Saxon Origin and Meaning
The name Saxon is a girl's name meaning "people of the dagger".
An unusual word name that nevertheless feels right on trend, with that two-syllable, n-ending shape and sharp middle X.
Associated with a 70s rock band, a number of places in the US and Europe, and a group of Germanic tribes in the early middle ages, Saxon is also a celebrity baby name, used by Elon Musk and Justine Wilson for their son.
While it is currently used more frequently on boys, there are several famous female Saxons, including Saxon Rice, an Australian politician, and Saxon Sharbino, an American actress.
