Kerensa, forever romantic, is a rare Cornish name spelled with an 's' or 'z', the most modern of the Karen family. Kerensa (or Kerenza) has ties to the Welsh Cerys.

In the Bible, there is a reference to the Kerith Ravine, where God told Elijah to hide in order to be provided with water during a drought. There is also a Kerith in the James Michener novel The Source. A soft and gentle and very unusual addition to the category of biblical place names.

This interesting name has unfortunately risen to attention through the tragic murder case of little Khandalyce Stevenson. Probably needs some time before it can be used without these sad connections.

Kiaria is pretty but sure to prove confusing given all the more familiar Kiara and Keira variations out there.
