Kade is a prime example of the new trend for substituting K's at the beginning of traditionally C-starting names.

A popular member of the -ayden family, Kaden ranks alongside Kaiden, Kayden, Kasen, Kade, Caiden, Cade, and Caden in the US Top 1000. A 90s invention that took off in the 2000s, Kaden is concise and modern, with its popular K initial.

K-beginnings are often substituted for Cs, and this spelling is definitely finding favor with many parents, among them skateboarding legend Tony Hawk. However, sometimes the original is the best - we suggest sticking to the still unusual Cadence.

Kady, though it has an authentic Irish meaning, may also be a variation of Katy short form of Kadence, or combination of initials K. and D. Though Kady is more distinctive, everyone will just hear it as Katy.

Much less popular than more traditional spellings.

Variant of Caelan

This version of Kaden is also a popular choice and one of the many boys' names starting with k that can also start with a C, as in Caiden, Cayden et al.. Kaiden Alenko is a character in the video game Mass Effect.

Kaidence is a newly-introduced variation of musical, rhythmic Cadence. Kaidence entered the Top 1000 in 2013, the same year it was rumored to be the frontrunner for Kim and Kanye's daughter. (It was wrong, of course - Kim and Kanye named their daughter North.)
