Jaxx
Jaxx Origin and Meaning
Unusual letters like X and Z are often considered badass and cool, so by that logic, does having two Xs in one name make it next level awesome? This seems to have been the thinking of the parents to nearly 3000 babies named Jaxx in America since the spelling first came into use in the 90s.
Jaxx is twist on the popular Jax and Jaxon, which are themselves sons of the more traditional but on still trend Jack and Jackson, ultimately all leading back to the very classic John. Following in their footsteps, Jaxx made it onto the Top 1000 names for boys in 2017, lingered near the bottom of the charts for the next five years, before dropping off in 2023. Across the pond it fares better still, making the Top 500 in the UK and the Top 100 in The Netherlands.
While the extra X serves no other purpose than perhaps making Jax seem less like a nickname or less popular than it really is, Jaxx remains just outside the US popularity charts.
