The most popular baby names 2023 in the US are led by Olivia in the top spot for girls and Liam as the Number 1 name for boys. The most recent list of popular names ranks all the names given to five or more newborns born in the US in 2023.

Along with Olivia, the Top 10 baby girl names 2023 in the US are Emma, Charlotte, Amelia, Sophia, Mia, Isabella, Ava, Evelyn, and Luna. Other popular girl names include Harper and Camila, Eleanor and Elizabeth.

Along with Liam, names ranking among the US Top 10 baby boy names 2023 are Noah, Oliver, Elijah, James, Mateo, Theodore, Henry, Lucas, and William. Other popular boy names include Benjamin and Levi, Jack and Ezra.

The Social Security Administration list of popular baby names is released in May each year, based on statistics from the previous calendar year. The most recent list of Top 1000 names, published here, is therefore a count of names for babies born in the US in 2023.
