Letty
Letty Origin and Meaning
Letty is a sweet vintage gem, playful and cosy and more unexpected than Lottie, the popular pet form of popular Charlotte. Originally used as a nickname for Letitia or Lettice, it could also work for Scarlett, Juliet, Violet, Leighton, Arlette, Loretta, Colette, or Liberty.
While Letty has yet to catch up with alternative spelling Lettie, it has been fairly consistently used in the US since 2016. Given to around 150 girls in a recent year, parents may have taken inspiration from the character Letty Ortiz from the Fast and Furious franchise, played by Michelle Rodriguez.
As of 2023, neither Lettie nor Letty were in the Top 1000 in the US, however, when you combine them together, the name begins to feel as popular as the similar Lottie and Lacey.
