Letty

LETT-ee
English, diminutive of Letitia or similar
"joy, gladness"

Letty Origin and Meaning

The name Letty is a girl's name of English origin meaning "joy, gladness".

Letty is a sweet vintage gem, playful and cosy and more unexpected than Lottie, the popular pet form of popular Charlotte. Originally used as a nickname for Letitia or Lettice, it could also work for Scarlett, Juliet, Violet, Leighton, Arlette, Loretta, Colette, or Liberty.

While Letty has yet to catch up with alternative spelling Lettie, it has been fairly consistently used in the US since 2016. Given to around 150 girls in a recent year, parents may have taken inspiration from the character Letty Ortiz from the Fast and Furious franchise, played by Michelle Rodriguez.
